woodworking for mere mortals table
Just in time for summertime backyard entertaining! i made this table out of redwood, but you could use anything. pine boards from your home center would be much less expensive, and this would make a great painted project.i used 3/4″ lumber for the top to keep costs down as well as make the table a little lighter.. This hole is for the dowel hinge. cutting an arc will allow the table top to swing. rounding over all the edges with my router gives it a softer appearance. these two little blocks will hold the ends of the dowel hinge. back to the table top. after cutting it to a square, i attached my cutting template using spray adhesive.. I made the cart the same height as my worktable so i could slide the long pieces of wood i’m working on directly from my saw platform to the adjacent table. the construction is pretty simple—just a basic cabinet.. woodworking for mere mortals table
